Sifting through a stack of lost dog papers, you find that time has shifted the ink on some into illegible smudges, and the corners are curled, evidence of being folded into a pocket on the way to the shelter. These photocopied pleas for a missing family member are a mix of old phone numbers now disconnected and faded photos of a beagle, a terrier, and a mutt.
